范圍：(1)闡明理論基礎(chǔ)(一般排序理論、知識(shí)及其工件的哲學(xué)基礎(chǔ)、分類、數(shù)據(jù)分析和約簡(jiǎn)的理論基礎(chǔ));(2)描述與標(biāo)引和分類相關(guān)的實(shí)際操作，以及分類系統(tǒng)和敘詞表、手工標(biāo)引和機(jī)器標(biāo)引的應(yīng)用;(3)追溯知識(shí)組織的歷史;(4)探討分類教育培訓(xùn)問(wèn)題;(五)術(shù)語(yǔ)的一般問(wèn)題和特殊領(lǐng)域的問(wèn)題。

Scope：Knowledge Organization publishes original research articles that: (1) clarify theoretical foundations (general ordering theory, philosophical foundations of knowledge and its artifacts, theoretical bases of classification, data analysis and reduction); (2) describe practical operations associated with indexing and classification, as well as applications of classification systems and thesauri, manual and machine indexing; (3) trace the history of knowledge organization; (4) discuss questions of education and training in classification; and (5) problems of terminology in general and with respect to special fields.
